My name is Priscilla.
I’ve always loved art. it’s one of the languages I’ve learned to speak when I am struggling with words.
Growing up, expressing my emotions through color, shape, and texture was easier than saying them out loud.
I’m originally from Brazil but grew up in New York. I spent a lot of time in both places, and the differences in cultures and lifestyles shaped the way I see and experience the world.
Being disabled has also shaped the way I approach both my life and my art. Creating is a way for me to process, to connect, and to navigate a world that often feels overwhelming.
It’s through my work that I feel most myself, most present. Whether it’s through a camera lens, a canvas, or a digital illustration, I pour my thoughts, feelings, and experiences into everything I create.
I believe in being vulnerable and of letting go of the need for perfection (which can be a challenge).
My work is a reflection of the many layers that make me who I am.
Imperfect, raw, and always evolving. It’s not about the destination for me; it’s about the journey, the process, and the way art allows me to show up in the world, even when I can’t always find the words to do so.
